Ellie, U.S.A.
Ellie’s birthday is in March and she is 12 years old. On her birthday, she always gets to choose dinner and dessert. Of course, she also gets presents from her family! Ellie lives with her mom, her dad, her little sister and her dog, Josie. Ellie thinks Josie is the cutest dog in the world.
Ellie is in the 7th grade. She is different from other kids she knows because she really likes to try new foods although she does not like broccoli or asparagus. She eats in many different ethnic restaurants. She also travels a lot, even to France. She studies French and loves to practice it. Ellie likes her writing class a lot especially because of her teacher who is fun and energetic. Ellie does 3-4 hours of homework a night and has many weekend projects.
Outside of school, Ellie likes music, dancing, basketball and many other things. She sees her grandmother often. She has many friends and spends time with them when she does not have a lot of studying to do. She has chores at home, too –most of those have to do with her dog, Josie. Ellie gets $5 per week allowance.
Some of her relatives live in Arizona. Ellie flies to
see them often, especially for winter holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The weather is usually warm in Arizona in the winter. On holidays, they
have a huge family dinner.
