Luca, Firenze Italia (Florence, Italy)
Luca studies at ‘Ghiberti-Barsanti’ School. He likes Literature and the teacher of this class is his favorite, because she is a diligent and available person with whom one can openly speak. Luca also studies at home an hour or two in the afternoon after school. He practices a special sport, fencing, and he has training every day. He also likes to play football or basketball with his friends. He spends with them a lot of time listening to music or chatting or, in the weekends, going to the cinema or wandering about in the city gardens. He likes adventure and science fiction movies, but he doesn’t watch TV a lot. He prefers to read all kinds of books or fencing magazines.
The holidays that Luca likes the most are Christmas and his birthday. Christmas, more than a moment of joy and fun, has a strong religious connotation for Luca because it is the Christian symbol of Jesus’ birth. Usually, he celebrates his birthday at a pizza restaurant with his friends or family. He likes the Italian typical dishes like pizza, polenta al ragù and yellow risotto. He goes on holiday in summer as a rule and, when he is grown up, he would like to become a trainer or a journalist.
